A teenager was indecently assaulted by a man who pulled her into bushes in Oxford's University Parks, a court heard.

Oxford Crown Court was told yesterday that the girl, who was 14 at the time of the alleged assault on July 16 last year, was grabbed round the waist by Hekuran Gjeta, 24, and subjected to a five-minute ordeal.

The alleged victim said she and two friends, aged 13 and 14, had been near McDonald's in Oxford and they approached three men for a cigarette. They then all went to the University Parks.

She said the assault happened when they got up to leave. Gjeta, of Cowley Road, Oxford, denies indecent assault.

The trial continues.
