Council tax payers in south Oxfordshire face bills averaging £85 a year more for a Band D house.

The final details will be put to the full council tonight where they are expected to be rubber-stamped.

Thame is again charging the highest amount and band D payers will have to fork out £1,033 next year, as opposed to £947 for this year.

Dr Nick Hards, Cabinet member for finance, said the 7.7 per cent increase in the district council's own council tax levy was "not very large".
