Homework has taken a leap into the 21st century with the arrival of a home-to-school link in Witney.
The town's Wood Green secondary school has installed a computer programme which allows students and staff to access schoolwork from home via the Internet.
Among the first pupils to use the link were brother and sister Jonathan and Isabel Young.
"It is really useful to be able to dial in and edit work started at school. This will really speed things up," said Isabel.
Their father is the school's IT teacher, Richard Young.
He said: "Pupils and staff now have 24-hour access to their work area. This means work can start in a classroom, be finished at home and uploaded for marking, all via the web. The superhighway is here."
The move adds to Wood Green's reputation for being on the cutting edge of IT technology. It won the secondary schools' national website of the year award for 2001.
