A woman with a history of alcohol abuse died after an all-day drinking binge, an inquest heard.
Jeanette Fletcher, 49, was found dead in bed at her home in Exe Close, Didcot, last July 24.
The dead woman's husband, John Fletcher, said his wife was a binge drinker. She had sought medical help for her problem, which was related to depression and anxiety.
Mr Fletcher said his wife had been drinking for most of the day when he returned home on July 23.
He said: "I eventually put her to bed at around 10.30pm. She was virtually unconscious, but it was nothing unusual to see her in that state."
Mr Fletcher got up as normal at 5.30am and found his wife dead beside him in the same position he had left her, lying on her side.
He said: "This was only the second time during the year that she had had a drink because she knew her health was suffering."
Mr Fletcher said his wife had been looking forward to moving back to her home town, Cardiff.
Her drinking may have been triggered by the anniversary of her mother's birthday.
Consultant pathologist Dr Bryan Warren, from Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital, said Mrs Fletcher had been suffering from severe coronary artery disease, which had aggravated the effects of excess alcohol.
Coroner Nicholas Gardiner recorded a verdict of accidental death.
