Police chased a Vauxhall Astra which had been reported performing wheel spins and other manoeuvres around Headington and Barton.
The car chase started at 3.37am yesterday morning. It ended a short time later when the Astra was abandoned in Wood Farm.
Police are looking for two white men in their mid-20s wearing baseball caps who were in the car.
There were also reports of a Peugeot 405 being driven dangerously by joyriders in Underhill Circus, Barton, at 4.19am and of a stolen Vauxhall Nova being set alight by arsonists in nearby Brome Place at 4.45am.
