Bicester residents are being asked their views on a proposed redevelopment of the Market Square.
A two-day exhibition featuring four options is being set up by Cherwell District Council on Friday.
The first option would see the traffic system stay the same, but carriageways would be narrowed and parking re-organised.
The second choice is to extend Sheep Street's pedestrian area along the north side of the square and run two-way traffic along the south side, in front of the Kings Arms pub.
The third option would see some town centre traffic diverted along Wessex Road into Chapel Street.
The fourth option involves re-organising parking and pedestrianising most of the Market Square.
During the exhibition, street entertainment, music and food is being provided to give the event a festive atmosphere.
Council officers will be on hand to answer questions and Bicester artist Gordon Young will also be talking about his ideas for putting art in the town.
Councillor Norman Bolster said: "This is an opportunity for local people to put forward their views on what their Market Square should and could be like."
