Hanborough recovered from early shocks to win the clash of the two unbeaten OCA League Division 1 sides at Brill on Saturday (June 8).
As was witnessed in many games, runs proved hard to come by on a damp track and the home side struggled to 140-8, which they owed mainly to a partnership of 67 between Hugh Simmons (40) and young Will Buggey (31).
Hanborough were soon 3-2 in reply, but did not lose another wicket, as the experienced hands of Rob Lovick (85no) and Matthew Busby (43no) steered them to an impressive eight-wicket victory.
Cowley continue to set the pace in Division 2 as a spell of 6-31 by George Stevens shot out Hailey for 60 and set up a win by eight wickets.
An unbeaten century by Paul Butcher helped Harwell International to 201-4, while Oxford Rescue managed only 114 in reply.
Another century came from Swinbrook's Stuart Huxtable (103no) who dominated their total of 157-9 against Watlington in Division 3. But it could not prevent his side slipping to a one-wicket victory.
In Divsion 8, a big partnership rescued Minster Lovell 2nd from the depths of 35-4 against Charlbury 2nd.
Richard Abraham (80no) and Dave Lewis (70no) put on 149 as Minster reached 184-4. In a thrilling finish, Charlbury finished three runs short on 181-9.
