Research editor Riham Abu-Deeb is set to trek 100km across Chile to raise money to help people with cerebral palsy.
It is the second time Miss Abu-Deeb, 24, of St John Street, Oxford, has taken on such a challenge. Her last trek in Peru for the charity Scope raised £2,500. This time she will join 60 others for the Chile Hike Away Trek, which takes place in October.
Customers at Martin's Newsagent in Little Clarendon Street can help with the fundraising by buying a raffle ticket from the shop.
Miss Deeb said she was spurred on to take on the challenge after meeting an acquaintance through her work at Oxford University's Refugee Studies Centre, who has the disease.
