Nick O'Hara hit a superb unbeaten century as Aston Rowant went on a run spree against Cherwell Cricket League Division 1 bottom club Rover Cowley.
O'Hara made 117 not out in Rowant's formidable 252-5.
But Rover refused to lie down and battled their way to 171-8 against the bowling of Chris Watling (3-53) and Wesley Morrick (3-56).

New boys Dinton took over at the top following an exciting one-wicket win over Kimble.
Chasing Kimble's 176-9, skipper Darren Risden (39) and Adrian Manger (36) put the home side in a good position until Tim Adcock (5-40) and John Robertson (3-37) struck back.
But Dinton's last pair held firm to see their team home at 177-9.
Earlier, Ivor Jones (4-15) and Peter Ludlow (3-73) helped peg Kimble back.

Shipton-under-Wych- wood were knocked off the top after slumping to a five-wicket defeat at Thame.
Shipton struggled to 156-9, despite useful contributions from Steve Bates (47) and Jason Constable (34) as Kevin Crawford took 4-39.
Manoj Parmar (62no) then led Thame to 158-5.
**Thame 30, Shipton 11
Banbury Twenty moved into second after easing to a six-wicket win over Oxford Downs.
The visitors were reduced to 40-6, before finally closing on 112-9.
Jon Roycroft (34) top-scored for Downs as Mike Thomas (3-20) and Mark Rowell (3-30) did most of the damage.
John Wright (36no) and Dave Clarke (32no) then took Twenty to 117-4, with Clarke hitting a six to clinch victory in style.

The match between Wolverton and Challow & Childrey was cancelled.
