A public trial of a lighting scheme proposed for Banbury's Market Place will take place on Thursday night.
The lighting scheme is part of a plan to pedestrianise Market Place and Parson's Street, and replace the car park with coloured paving, a stage area, and street 'eating' areas.
If the plans get the go-ahead, £1.5m would be spent on the alterations, which include a ribbon of blue paving down Parson's Street and across the Market Place on the line of a former stream.
The proposals will be on display in Castle Quay on Thursday and Saturday.
Cherwell District Council will consider public feedback and decide in the autumn whether to go ahead with the scheme.
