Rock Of Gibraltar, part-owned by Sir Alex Ferguson, has an outstanding chance of completing a remarkable treble at Royal Ascot tomorrow.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt lines up for the Group 1 St James's Palace Stakes (3.45) having already recorded victories at the highest level this season in the Sagitta 2000 Guineas and the Irish equivalent at the Curragh.

The last horse to win all three big races was Right Tack back in 1969, and Rock Of Gibraltar looks well up to equalling the feat judged on his two Classic successes.

At Newmarket, he made the most of a favoured draw to hold off stable companion Hawk Wing by a neck.

After that performance Rock Of Gibraltar was sent off at 4-7 to follow up at the Curragh, and he never gave his supporters a moment's anxiety as he cruised home hard held by a length and a half from Century City.

Although Rock Of Gibraltar may not represent great value, an interest on Kyllachy in the King's Stand Stakes (3.05) can produce a better return. The form of Wantage trainer Henry Candy's sprinter has been a revelation this term and he booked his place in the Ascot dash with a highly-impressive display at Sandown.

Despite racing from a poor draw in the Temple Stakes, Kyllachy produced a spectacular burst of speed to demolish a quality field, scooting up by four lengths from Vision Of Night.

Godolphin won four Queen Anne Stakes (2.30) on the bounce in the 1990s, and the Dubai team have a great chance of improving on that record with Best Of The Bests this time.
