SIX months ago a debate started in a Cumnor pub -- 'Is it a big dog or a small horse?'
Mr Feben-Smith and Sebastian
Regulars at The Vine met Great Dane Sebastian when manager Peter Feben-Smith took over in January.
Sebastian is 39.5in tall and weighs about 14.5st. He is such a crowd-puller that Mr Feben-Smith gave him a place in the recent Lord Mayor of Oxford's Jubilee Parade -- surveying the crowds from the roof of his owner's red 2CV car.
Mr Feben-Smith said: "I've had him since he was a very large puppy!"
Now eight years old, Sebastian has recovered from two strokes.
"He's quite a presence here and a bit of a crowd-puller, which I have no objection to at all!
"He's very placid and docile and the children love him."
Sebastian stands well above the average height for a Great Dane of 35in, but is 2in short of the world record.
