Firoz Kassam could face another rival in his bid to buy Moseley, the struggling Midlands rugby club.
The Oxford United chairman, whose efforts to bring Premiership rugby to The Kassam Stadium were thwarted last month when Wasps moved to Wycombe Wanderers, last week looked like succeeding in buying up Moseley, who play in National League 1.
Kassam's offer is still the only one on the table, but a consortium of members are determined to keep the club in the Midlands, while Stourbridge RFC could now become an interested party.
Both Kassam and the membership consortium have had their business plans for Moseley approved by the Rugby Football Union, who have been assured by the club that they will fulfil next season's fixtures, without as yet specifying the venue.
So, with no deadline imminent, there is still time for other offers to be submitted.
