THE story of adventurer and Oxford rowing blue Sandy Irvine is being told by one of his relatives at a Henley museum.
Mr Irvine's great niece Julie Summers, will speak about his life in a talk entitled Sandy Irvine: Oarsman on Everest, at the River and Rowing Museum, on Tuesday at 7pm.
Mr Irvine died in 1924, aged 22, while climbing Everest with George Mallory. His body has never been found.
