A talented young flautist raised more than £500 for a new children's hospital unit.

Musician Jessica Rudnay, 15, from South Newington, near Banbury, held a recital in the village hall for a new children's accident and emergency unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. About 60 people, including Banbury MP Tony Baldry, attended the £7.50-a-head event.
Jessica, a pupil at Oxford High School, also received sponsorship.
