Fireworks and a barn dance were among the celebrations to mark the formation of Didcot's newest church.
Fleet Meadow Baptist Church, formerly a satellite church of Didcot Baptist Church, is now an independent fellowship responsible for its own finances and administration.
But the church, which meets at Fleet Meadow Community Hall, will continue to share its minister, the Rev Mark Wickenden, with Didcot Baptist Church.
Mr Wickenden said: "The church is not the building and so it does not matter that we do not have our own building."
The Baptist Church and All Saints' Church are now holding talks about launching a second Anglican-Baptist Church at Ladygrove, to cater for residents in new homes in northern Didcot.
