A teenager was stabbed and robbed of his wallet by three men as he walked home from an Oxford pub on Friday night (October 11).

The 19-year-old was attacked in Cowley Road, Littlemore, after leaving the Queen's Arms pub at about 11pm. In the vicious assault, the man suffered stab wounds to his head, forearm and abdomen. He underwent emergency surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Det Insp Dermot Norridge, of Oxford CID, appealed for anyone who may have seen a disturbance in the area involving a group of men, or local residents, to get in touch with them on 01865 266333.

He said: "This was a serious attack upon a young man as he was walking home from the pub. As a result, he has sustained serious injuries which have required operations.

"We require the help of the public to find the men responsible, and I urge anyone with information to come forward and speak to us."
