The comedy is set in the hall of a castle in the 1950s. Lord and Lady Elrood are waiting for visitor Roger Newton-Strangeways, who is paranoid and thinks he is being followed. Enter Chester Dreadnought, who is being followed by gangsters who want to kill him.
Rehearsals started in the spring, and since September the ten-strong cast has met every week.
Director Steve Procopiou said: "It is the first time we have done a full play by anybody other than ourselves. We are looking forward to it.
"The day after, we are due to start rehearsing for our Christmas pantomime."
Tickets for the play, which is taking place at the village's Parish Hall, in Bicester Road, on Friday and Saturday, October 25 and 26, cost £5. Call Jackie Webber on 01869 242607. Picture: Ed Nix
