An Oxford school celebrated its 25th anniversary with the opening of a new teaching block.

Pupils at St Barnabas First School looked on as the Bishop of Oxford, the Rt Rev Richard Harries, blessed the new building, including four classrooms and a computer room.
The bishop was shown around the school by pupils and gave a speech in a celebratory assembly.
Candles were lit on a cake made in the shape of the school in Hart Street, Jericho, and more than 200 pupils, parents, governors and staff took part in a balloon race.
Headteacher Hilary Hiorns said: "The completion of building work came almost exactly 25 years after the official opening of the school in October 1977, which was something worth celebrating."
