BERKS, BUCKS & OXON LEAGUE: Littlemore's hopes of gaining their first Divison 1 win of the season were dashed when Phoenix kicked a last-minute penalty to record a 22-20 home victory.

The home side trailed 19-5 just after half-time, having scored a try through No 8 Darren Springer.

Despite a lack of quality line-out ball after hooker Paul Norton left the field with a back problem, Littlemore stormed back to lead 20-19 after tries by second row Darren Lymer and flanker Mark Fisher, plus a conversion and a penalty by fly half Adam Thompson.

They looked like hanging on until the Phoenix full back kicked a 40-metre penalty.

Oxford cruised to a 27-7 win at home to Milton Keynes thanks to tries from winger Nick Obolensky, centres Andrew Alderman and Marco Rodriguez, plus No 8 Mark Lockwood.

Roy Telling landed two conversions, while Danny Wheeler kicked a penalty.

Harwell hooker Dougie Bosley extended his tally as top scorer by putting the home side into an early lead against Bletchley in Division 2.

Bletchley led only 10-5 at half-time, but their backs exploited poor Harwell defence to run out 31-5 winners.

Abingdon paid for poor finishing as they lost 22-17 at home to Chesham. Abingdon managed just two tries from fly half Lawrence East.Captain Xavier Lecocq kicked two conversions and a penalty.
