Fundraiser Jeanne Chattoe painted Witney pink on Saturday, October 12, to make everyone aware that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Mrs Chattoe, whose sister died of breast cancer, has raised more than £100,000 for cancer research. She has also undergone treatment for breast cancer. During the event she held a collection for the Harwell-based charity Against Breast Cancer.

She said: "We asked all shops and businesses in Witney to help us by displaying pink balloons or ribbons.

"Almost all deaths from breast cancer are caused by secondary spread and men can get breast cancer too."
