POWERGEN JUNIOR VASE: TOM Eaton was the toast of Harwell after their dramatic 10-7 at home to Drifters, which secured them a place in the third round.
Having made the second round for the first time ever, the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 2 side eliminated another side from Division 1 in a tight and tense game.
Winger Nick Brown gave Harwell the lead with a try, which was converted by Eaton. Drifters fought back to level by half time.
In the second half, Harwell gave a wonderful display of rucking and mauling and spent large periods of time in the Drifters 22.
Despite forcing the pace, Harwell could not make the breakthrough until they were awarded a penalty in the dying minutes.
With what proved the last opportunity of the game, Eaton slotted the kick for a memorable victory.
Wheatley's bid ended when they lost 24-10 at home to Henley Wanderers. The losers' only try was a solo effort from Rob Cadwallader.
