Chipping Norton composer and teacher Raymond Head has presented a copy of his book about the paintings and drawings in the collection of the Royal Asiatic Society to the Prince of Wales.
Mr Head, of Worcester Road, Chipping Norton, published the book 10 years ago.
It was the first account of the paintings and drawings held by the society, which was founded in 1823.
The Prince of Wales is the new patron of the London-based society.
Mr Head said: "I was very nervous about meeting the prince but he turned out to be very easy to talk to and he put me at my ease."
