The Countryside Agency has published advice on public transport for rural communities.
Entitled Get Your Community Moving, it offers advice on what transport scheme works best for towns and villages.
The guide explains how to set up and publicise a transport scheme, using funding under the parish transport grant scheme.
Suggested transport solutions include bus services, car-sharing, taxi voucher schemes and advertising.
