Roger Tomlin (+60) put Motors ahead, but newcomer Tony Palmer (+100) surprised Doug Baker (+50) to level.
However, stalwart Bob Hayward (+80) beat Terry Walsh (+80) 150-123 to keep Motors top.
Newtrim maintained their 100 per cent record with a 3-0 victory over Witney, thanks to victories from Paul Robinson (scratch), Bob Chivers (-20) and Simon Aries (-60).
Riley A are also unbeaten after a 2-1 win at Ashton.
Keith Maskens (+70) and Jason Buck (+70) gave Riley victory, but Terry Chambers (+10) ensured the whitewash was avoided, beating Alan Copelin (+100).
Oracle are top of the Division 2 table after beating Eynsham 2-1.
Lee Stopps (+70) gave Oracle the lead when he beat Geoff Watson (+110) 150-133, but Ken Leach (+110) then levelled the match when he ended Roger Coenen's (+70) winning run 150-116.
Jack Woods (+90) beat Mick McCluskey (+110) 150-126 in the decider.
Thame finally opened their account for the season when they edged past CCC B 2-1, and New Club also clocked up their first win
