Chocaholics had fun learning about science while enjoying their favourite confectionery.

Chris Chadwick, 12, and sister Eleanor, nine, learn about the movement of the Earth's crust using chocolate and wafers

Budding scientists joined a series of workshops at Gosford Hill School, in Kidlington, on October 24, organised by Oxford's Curioxity science centre.

Experiments with chocolate were used to demonstrate aspects of geology, physics and statistics.

Organiser Mike Dennis, from the Oxford Trust, said: "Of course some of the experiments needed eating afterwards, so we also enjoyed trying everything out beforehand."
