Oxford United boss Ian Atkins faces an FA disciplinary commission at Reading on Thursday November 7 after being charged with using abusive language at the end of the Worthington Cup first-round tie at Bristol City in September.
Atkins, who has requested a personal hearing, says he will have supporting written evidence to back his case, and he may even call sports therapist Neil Sullivan as a witness.
The U's boss was sent to the stand for questioning the last-minute dismissal of striker Andy Scott, who was sent off for a second yellow card.
He says he has a letter from the Bristol City manager, Danny Wilson, to support him.
