Silverstone-based Jordan are opting out of Formula 1's end-of-year testing. The team are switching from Honda engines to Ford and the Cosworth engine will not fit into the 2002 EJ12.

A spokesman said Jordan would not be building an interim model to accommodate it. But Jordan, who finished the season sixth overall, insist they will not suffer from having three weeks less testing than other teams. "We've already got the engine so we know what it's like," said the spokesman.
