About 60 youngsters from between the ages of ten and 13 years of age, from four local schools, will attend the University's first 'Schools Day'.

The pupils come from Isis Middle School, Magdalen College School, Matthew Arnold School, Cumnor, and Bartholomew School, Eyn- sham.

The event, organised in conjunction with Varsity Match sponsors Marsh McLennan, is part of the club's ongoing 'Rugby in the Community' programme.

After being shown around the facilities, the children will be split into four groups on the pitch where coaching will be given by university players.

Leonard, England's most capped player, and Greenwood will be present to assist, and the children will have their photographs taken with them.

Richard Tyrrell, Oxford University's community devlopment officer, said: "We hope that the event will help to increase awareness of the club.

"There are some interesting home games on the programme, culminating with the Major Stanley's match on November 13, and one against New Zealand Under 21s on November 18."
