A school extension partly paid for by parents is to be officially opened.
The chairman and vice-chairman of the school council, 10-year-olds Eleanor Besooijen and Tim Hunt, will carry out the ceremony at Brightwell-cum-Sotwell Primary School.
The extension, which cost more than £172,000, enlarges the main hall to give extra space, including a new cloakroom and lavatories. It also provides an undercover play area for the infants.
School governor Hilary Smith said: "We received several grants from various bodies for the hall extension, but it was very much a local effort here raising money for the building.
"It will be officially opened on Saturday then we will have a celebration barn dance to thank everyone who helped us.
"The school needed more space and this extension provides it."
The official opening will be at 5pm on November 16.
