Gerry Anderson, the creator and director of the popular television series Thunderbirds, was invited to re-open a Witney hairdressing and beauty saloon.

Styles, in Corn Street, has been given a complete refurbishment and the new name of Vente Tsunami.
Linda Keen has owned Styles for the past 18 years and also owns a salon in Oxford.
She also works in the film and television industry.
She said: "I was involved with the original series of Thunderbirds and the Return of Thunderbirds, making wigs for Lady Penelope and Parker. I've also been a make-up artist for films."
Customers and the 16 members of staff celebrated with champagne.
