Abingdon's Kev Smith in actionAndy Maunder and Kev Smith combined down the right wing to set up Nathan Conn with a simple chance for Abingdon's opener after ten minutes.

However, Bracknell equalised soon afterwards with an interception goal.

Two goals from penalty corners ten minutes before half-time gave Abingdon a comfortable 3-1 lead.

Ross Morgan scored the first with a thunderous drive, and Andy Maunder knocked the ball in for the second after Morgan's strike rebounded off both posts and rolled along the goalline.

A purple patch just after the restart saw Abingdon open up a five-goal lead.

Captain Will Trigg scored twice, first with a low flick from five yards, followed sby a tap-in from less than a yard after Matt Leney's shot had been blocked by the Bracknell goalkeeper.

Smith then claimed Abingdon's sixth when his cross from the bye-line on the right deflected off a defender's stick and into the goal.

However, Abingdon then gifted Bracknell three goals in the last 15 minutes.
