A bus driver chased a thief who grabbed takings as he got off the bus.
The offender got onto the Oxford Bus Company bus in Manzil Way, east Oxford, heading towards Blackbird Leys, at about 10.40pm on November 8.
He later jumped off the bus in Field Avenue, near the junction of Lobelia Road, snatching the takings as he went.
The driver ran after him, and managed to catch the man and retrieve the money, but the thief fled.
Oxford Bus Company commercial manager Phil Clark said: "We thank the driver for what he has done to retrieve the takings -- but we don't recommend this course of action to drivers as it puts them at risk."
The offender was white, between 20 and 30 years old, between 5ft 9in to 5ft 11in, and slim.
He had short blond hair with a side parting, and wore dark jeans and a dark denim jacket.
