Children in Bicester will light candles to help troubled children.
A church service at St Edburg Church, Church Lane, on Sunday, December 1, will see the congregation taking part in a nationwide candlelit Christingle event.
The Children's Society, which is organising the initiative, is hoping it will raise at least £1m.
The money will be spent helping young runaways, children who are in trouble with the police, and those having difficulties at school.
