BBC Radio Oxford DJ Bill Rennells was asked to pick the winning slimmer at a competition in Oxford.
Alison Buckland, of Balfour Road, was chosen to win the Miss Slinky title at the Cowley Slimming World competition on Wednesday, (November 20) after losing a stone and-a-half in three months.
She received a £150 holiday voucher, a clock and a bottle of champagne.
The group, which meets in Oxford Road, has 30 members who have lost 70 stone between them this year.
