THE funeral takes place at Oxford Crematorium on Thursday (November 28) of John Buzzacott, of Meadow Way, Didcot.
Mr Buzzacott was born and brought up in Falmouth, Cornwall, before serving in the Royal Navy.
After the Second World War, he became a marine engineer at Falmouth Docks, then in 1963 joined Esso Research, based at Milton Heights, near Didcot.
Mr Buzzacott, who was 83, was a Freemason and a member of the Didcot branch of the United Services Association.
He leaves a widow, Florence, a son, Ronald, and daughter, Susan.
