Waste action groups in Charlbury and Finstock played their part in protecting the environment by holding a plastics recycling collection day.
The Charlbury group has been going for three years and holds monthly collections of materials for recycling.
The Finstock group was formed six months ago and has already arranged collections of cardboard, garden waste and paint.
Their efforts are supported by the county council and West Oxfordshire District Council.
Taking part was Sara Willis, the district's new environmental policy and development officer.
