An Oxford actor has denied claims that he will take over the wizard role of Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies following the death of Richard Harris.

Harry RobinsonHarry Robinson, of London Road, Headington, worked as a stand-in for Mr Harris in the first two films, The Philosopher's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets.

Recent reports claimed that he was set to star in sequels. It was also suggested that producers would use unseen footage of Mr Harris, who died in October, and map his face over Mr Robinson for the third film -- which starts shooting in the New Year.

But Mr Robinson, 72, now working as Father Christmas at Templars Square Shopping Centre in Cowley, said: "I haven't even been booked, although I hope they'll want me."
