Thames Water is warning children not to skate on Oxfordshire's frozen reservoirs, canals and rivers this winter.
Gordon Harris, the company's health and safety manager, said: "Our sites should not be treated as play areas or short cuts.
"Our message is simple - keep off and stay safe. It may be cold and the water might look frozen solid, but it is highly likely there will be thin patches which will need little pressure to break."
