This goose egg has been uniquely designed by top chef Raymond Blanc to raise money for the Oxford Children's Hospital.
Mr Blanc, who runs le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons in Great Milton, near Didcot, and Le Petit Blanc in Walton Street, Oxford, is one of 20 of the UK's most famous chefs who have The egg is on display with the others in the window of Comptoir Gascon, overlooking Smithfield Market, London, this month. Customers will be able to bid for them.
Each chef has chosen his or her own charity to support. The Oxford Mail is at the forefront of a fundraising campaign for the £20m children's hospital, which could open at the John Radcliffe site in 2005.
