A village hall has hosted some unusual events in its time but on Saturday it chalked up a first -- the hall was full of babies whose bottoms were clad in real cloth nappies.
As part of Real Nappy Week, the Oxfordshire Real Nappy Network staged a party in Eynsham to celebrate their 'Cool in Cotton' slogan to encourage parents to dispose of disposable nappies and return to the tried and tested cloth nappies, to save money and help the environment.

There were nappies galore at the party and music, face-painting, a bouncy castle, baby massage sessions -- and nappy display stands.
Event co-ordinator Jenny Hogan, a mother of three from Eynsham, said parents brought along more than 50 babies and the message was brought home to them.
She said: "Mothers get seduced by convenient, disposable nappies but they are more expensive, are not bio-degradable in landfill sites and cause a lot of damage to the environment."
