An award for the Army's most improved woman footballer has gone to Sergeant Clare Scott, pictured.
Sgt Scott, 29, of Abingdon, serves with the Royal Logistic Corps, and her team -- the Army Womens Football Team -- reached the final of the Southern Counties League.
She said: "I started playing when I was a child, and later for Rover Oxford Womens FC. Having the chance to play at this level is great. The Army look after us well."
Sgt Scott joined the Army in 1995 and lives with her husband in Abingdon.
