A scheme to transform Faringdon's Market Place has been given an extra £80,000 from Oxfordshire County Council so the project can go ahead.
The £350,000 plan involves widening pavements, creating new paved areas and providing crossing points for pedestrians.
Traffic calming measures will be introduced and roadways re-surfaced. Wooden benches and flowerbeds will also be installed.
The county council has already pledged £70,000 for the project. But last week it agreed to provide an extra £80,000, meaning all the funds are now in place.
Work should begin in January.
The Vale of White Horse District Council, which has devised the makeover, has allocated £175,000 for the revamp.
Faringdon Town Council has offered £10,000, Faringdon Joint Environmental Trust has pledged £10,000 and £5,420 will come from Grundon Waste Management .
County and district councillor Jim Moley said: "The Vale has committed substantial funding and officers have worked hard to obtain additional support."
