Oxford City manager Paul Lee was a relieved man after his Ryman League Division 1 North side edged a thrilling 3-2 golden goal victory over Hook Norton in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final.

Justin LeeLee said: "I thought we should have won the game in the first half, but we didn't kill them off. All credit to our side though. With so many games in such a short space of time, we showed a lot of character, but ran out of steam in the second half.

"I was relieved when the winner went in, because Hook Norton caused us quite a few problems."

Hooky boss Dave Risato said: "I'm absolutely gutted, not for myself, but for my players.

"They didn't get the rub of the green, and they deserved so much more from the game. I can tell you that my players are inconsolable in there. They had a storming game and I can't be more proud of them.

"We played City off the park for 105 minutes of the game - and the way we fought back from 2-0 down so early showed the tremendous character we have."
