Autotype UTV League: Russell Thynne was the hero for Abbott Medisense as his spot kick saw the holders retain the Devenney Cup with a 5-4 penalty shoot-out win over East Hendred.

With the sides locked at 0-0 at full-time, Ben Parry broke the deadlock on 95 minutes, volleying home past Hendred keeper Jon Francis from the edge of the box.

Five minutes later, it could have been worse for Hendred when Francis was penalised for holding on to the ball for too long.

However, they breathed a sigh of relief when Steve Bayliss's resultant free-kick cannoned off Hendred's wall and away to safety.

In the second period of extra time, Francis saved superbly at the feet of Danny Parry as the striker burst through on goal.

But with just two minutes left, Hendred defender Pat Allen made it 1-1 with a diving header, from Matty Goddard's neat cross to take the game into a nerve-wracking penalty shoot-out.

With penalty kicks tied at 4-4, Hendred's Paul Mead stepped up, only to agonisingly crash his shot against an upright.

Thynne then held his nerve, hitting the back of the net to retain the Devenney Cup for a second season.

Marcham moved second in Division 2, after a 2-1 win against Standlake Garage.

Although they are level on points, Medisense's goal difference of 101 keeps them way in front.

Matty Thomas and Wes Costar scored for Marcham, with Ian Luckett getting one back for Garage.

Wootton RBL made up ground at the top of Division 3A with a 9-2 win at Bampton Horseshoes.

Kevin Kogel weighed in with an impressive five-timer.

Tony Rotherey scored twice for the Horseshoes.

Wootton must win their last game away to Clanfield-85 to force a play-off with AFC Oxford for the title.

Third-placed College Oak surrendered their slim title hopes of promotion as they crashed 3-2 at home to Wheatley Park.

Nick Lillywhite and Stephen French scored for Oak, with Jeff Simmonds (2) and Ian Belcher replied for Park.

Fitzharris lost 2-0 at home against The Vine, for whom Luke Rand and Martin Laitt scored.

AFC Kidlington edged it 3-2 at Clanfield-85.

Andrew White and David Fletcher gave the visitors an early lead, before a goal either side of the break from Steve Wright put Clanfield level.

Later, Fletcher came up with a winner.

Milton United took over at the Division 3B helm after beating Queens Arms 2-0.

It followed their 3-2 midweek win against Benson Harts.

But Harts replied through Aaron Moore and James Carroll to tie it at 2-2, before Wood scored the winner.

Wheatsheaf Didcot rounded of their season beating The Queens 3-2, with goals from Bryn Ingram (3) and Rob Noble. Alan Jones bagged a treble for Queens.
