The Abbey sports centre in Berinsfield is one of the top 10 per cent of centres nationwide -- and has been officially recognised with the Quest award.
Quest is Sport England's quality standard, the kite mark for leisure centres. Out of 3,500 centres in the country, only 300 have won it.
Abbey centre manager David Greedy said: "It shows all our teamwork has been worthwhile. We are absolutely delighted."
The centre is managed for South Oxfordshire District Council by Soll Leisure.
