Two people were taken to hospital following a head-on crash outside Bicester sports ground in Akeman Street, Chesterton, on Thursday, May 8. A woman was taken to The Horton Hospital in Banbury with shock. The other casualty was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Their injuries are not thought to be serious. The collision, involving a white Volvo and green Renault Clio, happened at about 8.40pm.
Earlier, one lane of the M40 was closed for about 30 minutes after a Peugeot car caught fire at about 4pm between junction seven at Milton Common and junction six at Lewknor.
