Glamorous Santas from The Swan at Streatley gave a whole new meaning to the approach of Christmas when they stopped shoppers in and around Wallingford at the weekend and offered them mince pies.
Most responses were generally: Surely we can't be that close to Christmas already, can we?
For The Swan it certainly is that close and the Santas supplemented the mince pies with details of the restaurant's Christmas menus and events.
Sarah Wintle, of The Swan, said: "It was an eye-catching way to spread the message, although most people went white at the thought of Christmas so near!"
