Oxford Harlequins, playing their first full match at this level, survived a comeback from Truro to secure a 34-16 victory at Horspath Road.
Following the previous week's abandonment against Clifton because of the referee's injury, Quins finally got their show on the road with an impressive display.
After being denied a penalty goal when the referee overruled the touch-judges flags, Quins full back Dave Boreham galloped over for a well-worked try, which he converted.
With Quins' front five blunting the strong Truro pack, scrum half Anthony Cope sent his brother Jamie over for a try, which Boreham converted.
After being forced to reshuffle when hooker Clark Lawfull departed with a shoulder injury, Quins conceded two unconverted tries.
Right on half-time, Quins centre Brian Graham finished off a brilliant move to score a try, before Truro kicked a penalty to make the interval score 19-13.
After conceding another penalty in the second half, Quins' New Zealand centre Nathan Smith snapped up a half-chance to power over near the posts, Boreham converting.
It was all Quins now, and left wing Elio Recchia weaved his way over for a try before Boreham had the final say with a penalty.
