The Standlake Nudge and Spin team swept the opposition aside, as they raced to yet another emphatic victory in the fifth and final SEGTO Championship round of the season at Standlake Arena on Sunday.

The team completed a clean sweep with victories at every round, with the final points tally for the series reading Standlake 538, Worthing 250, Tongham 197, SAA 159, and Croydon 57.

A superb junior contest saw Stephen Grant just manage to hold back the challenge of top Junior Michael Hayes to win his first Standlake final.

Hayes has taken a podium place at each of the five rounds, his 174 points total saw him run out a comfortable winner to become SEGTO Junior champion for 2003.

Carterton's Mikey Godfrey took third place in the Junior Championship racing for the Tongham club.

Grove's Henry Breakspear was unbeatable in the Mod C class as he raced to victory in both his heats and the final. Jason Kew's nerve held as he won a thrilling Hot Rod final from Trevor Harvey.

Eynsham's Mark Mitchell had a busy day racing in both the Nudge and Spin and Banger classes.

Firstly, he roared home to take second place in the Nudge and Spin final, and completed a highly successful day, going on to win the final and Demolition Derby in the Banger class. RESULTS
